제목 | Optically modified graphene oxide on flexible and transparent substrate for wearable chemical sensors |
초록 | Wearable chemical sensors are getting intensive attention due to the potential application in real-time detection of environmental species integrated with portable and mobile platform. For application in wearable chemical sensors, sensing layer as well as sensor substrate should be flexible. As a probable candidate for wearable chemical sensing layer, graphene-based materials are gaining much interest due to the flexible and transparent property. In addition, graphene-based materials have been demonstrated as a chemical sensing layer exhibiting resistance transition toward gas analytes. In the present study, we demonstrate graphene-based sensing layer, which was achieved by optical modification, on flexible and transparent substrate for application in wearable chemical sensors. Graphene oxide sheets were deposited on a transparent and flexible polyimide substrate and directly modified by using optical flashy ramp to form reduced graphene oxide. The synthesized reduced graphene oxide sheets exhibited reversible sensing characteristics toward H2S, H2, and ethanol with stable sensing properties under mechanical bending stress. |
