Anthracene-dithienothiophene based Main Chain Polymers containing Conjugated Side Chain Moieties |

Various kinds of π-conjugated molecules and polymers have been demonstrated and applied to organic light emitting diode, organic thin film transistor, organic photovoltaic cell etc. Soluble organic semiconducting materials based on extended π-conjugated systems have received considerable attention for electronic devices over the last several years.. In this study, new conjugated polymers have been synthesized through various kinds of coupling reaction. These materials were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. Introduction of conjugated side chain moieties into an anthracene monomeric unit improves the solubility in organic solvent for facilitating the solution-based device fabrication. We investigate the electrical properties and photovoltaic properties. |
