Preparation of Nano CoAl2O4 Ceramic Pigments using Cobalt and Aluminum Carbamate |

Cobalt and aluminum carbamates were prepared by reacting cobalt chloride and aluminum chloride with 2-ethylhexylammonium 2-ethylhexylcarbamate. The thermal properties of cobalt and aluminum carbamates were investigated by DSC and TGA. Nano-CoAl2O4 ceramic pigments were prepared from mixtures of synthesized cobalt carbamate and aluminum carbamate at various temperature between 400-1100℃. The nano-CoAl2O4 ceramic pigments were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and the nano-CoAl2O4 morphologies were examined by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Visible light absorption properties were examined by UV-vis spectroscopy. |
