AMCH, an antimicrobial moisturizing cream consisting of chitosan and herbal honey, was made using a formula which is based on the optimum mixture ratio of herbal honey and water-soluble chitosan. To explore the possibility of using AMCH as a potential atopic dermatitis-curing drug and cosmetics, experiments were conducted by applying AMCH to atopy-induced NC/Nga mice. An analysis of our measurements of sensory evaluation scores, scratching behavior, spleen weights, white blood cells, eosinophils, neutrophils content, IgE content, Eorsal skin tissue biopsy, and macroscopy indicate that the AMCH is highly effective as a medication for treatment of atopic dermatitis.
