Application of thermosensitive hydrogel using Chitosan and Pluronic |

The adhesion formation after surgical is a significant clinical problem within every surgical specialty. To prevent tissue adhesions, many researchers study them. We prepared thermosensitive hydrogel based on chitosan and pluronic F-127 for adhesion barrier. The aim of the this study was to examined the preparation and characterization of hydrogel formulation composed of pluonic and chitosan. The physicochemical properties of hydrogel were analyzed by gelation time and temperature, viscocity, antimicrobial and scanning electron microscope (SEM) measurement. Also, in vitro experiments correspond well with invivo observationson tissue adhesions. Therefore, the Chitosan/pluronic hydrogel may be the potential to prevent postsurgical adhesions in clinical state. |
