This research is Synthesis of polyolefin and PMMA using controlling living ligated anionic polymerization, namely the goal is introduction of hard block graft polymer in soft polymer chain to raise Tg. In this polymerization system, initiating step was generated by using sec-BuLi and Al-ligand. Polymerization using bulky aluminum ligands such as MeAl(ODBP)2, it was an efficient initiating system having living manner. This polyemerization system proceeded in a living manner at higher temperature compared to conventional living anionic polymerization, and the beneficial effect of bulky aluminum phenoxide was attributed to the coordination with enolate ion pairs providing stabilization to ligand-complexed ion pairs. The copolymer were characterized by high temperature gel permeation chromatography and proton NMR. |
