제목 Designed Synthesis of Porous and Functionalized Organic Microporous Polymers to capture CO2
초록 The rapid rise of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is one of the greatest issues currently confronting us. For past few decades, researchers have made a great effort to effectively capture and sequestrate carbon dioxide. Till now, researchers have found several crucial factors in carbon treatment. First of all, the sorbent should show high surface area to offer sufficient active sites to carbon dioxide. Secondly, introducing carbon dioxide philic elements such as nitrogen or oxygen to sorbents will greatly enhance the sorbent’s capacity. MOF shows the highest carbon dioxide capacity, but the processes are too complicated. Here, we designed an experiment to synthesize sorbent easily using Friedel Craft reaction showing relatively high capacity. We chose nitrogen containing monomer to synthesize our sorbent (polymer). And found the polymer shows relatively high surface area and containing nitrogen and oxygen. The capacity of sorbent reached 3 mmol/g.
