We prepared polyimies (PI)/hydrotalcite (HT) nanocomposite films using fluorinated PI and modified hydrotalcites. The fluorinated poly(amic acid) was synthesized from the reaction of 4,4’-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride (6FDA) and 2,2’-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,4’-diaminophenyl (TFDB). Hydrotalcite was modified by various cyclohexanecarboxylic acids, such as cyclohexanecarboxylic aicd (CHCA), 1,4- cyclohexanetricarboxylic acid (CHTA) and 1,2,3,4,5,6-cyclohexanehexacarboxylic acid (CHHA). The poly(amic acid) was mixed with the modified HT and thermally imidized at 300oC. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to characterize PI/m-HT nanocomposite films. |
