Inorganic core/Organic shell hybrid Composite particles prepared by emulsion polymerization |

Inorganic core and a polymer shell composited poly (methylmethacrylate-co-butylacrylate-co-methacrylic acid) [P (MMA-co-BA-co-MAA)] particles were prepared by emulsion copolymerization. Fourier transform IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis were used to measure the change of methacrylic acid in composited particles. From the experimental results of X-ray measurement photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) indicated the presence of an MAA unit on the surface of the composite particles. The combined results of the elemental analysis and the XPS measurements showed that the copolymer on the surface of poly (MMA-co-BA- co-MAA) composite particles was rich in MAA compared with that in the interior of the composite particles. Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction measurement were used to study the morphology and structure of the composite particles. The thermogravimetic analysis of the composite particles density is 1.512 ~ 1.708g/cm3. |
