We studied correlation between a cell area and performances of polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs). Changes in the current efficiency, the power efficiency, the current density, and the luminance resulted from changing the cell area are investigated. With increasing cell area from 4.64 to 28.28mm2, the device performances decrease due to high sheet resistance of ITO. The device consists of indium tin oxide (ITO) as anode, solution processed light emitting layer, non-conjugated polyelectrolytes and PEDOT:PSS as interfacial layers, and aluminum as cathode. The non-conjugated interfacial layer is used for decreasing charge injection barrier. |
