Parallel tandem polymer light-emitting devices (PLEDs), in which two PLEDs with different emitting-color are linked for a high resolution display and controlled independently, are fabricated with each layer processed from solution. The 11-layer device structure consists of polymer emitting layers, injection layers, and electrodes. All layers, except for the top metal electrode, are high transparent for reducing interference between electroluminescence spectra of two PLEDs. A novel electrode, which has the high transparency and the low sheet resistance, is used for inter-electrode. We successfully demonstrate the high-efficiency parallel tandem PLEDs. |
