Novel Brush Polymers: Well-Defined Nanostructures, Controlled Surfaces, Functionality, and Properties |
초록 |
A variety of novel brush polymers were designed and synthesized with optimizing functionality and self-assembly capability. Furthermore, brush polymers were extended to use as block components, providing brush polymer based block copolymers. Their self-assembly ability was practiced in various aspects of fabrication process in order to well control nanostructure, surface and functionality. In particular, the fabricated nanostructures were quantitatively analyzed by using synchrotron grazing incidence X-ray scattering and reflectivity. The surface and functionality of the nanostructures were studied in detail. These studies of a serried of brush polymers and block copolymers demonstrate that brush polymers and block copolymers can deliver well-defined nanostructures as well as well-controlled surfaces and functionalities, which are highly demanded in nano-science and technology, biomedical science, and information technology. |
