Heterogeneous nanorods consisting of multiple discrete materials with different optical or electrical properties are of great interest on account of their numerous applications in electronics and optics. There have been several efforts on fabricating multicomponent nanostructures, but heterogeneously doped nanorods were not well investigated yet. In this work, we report on the fabrication of nanorods based on charge-transfer complexes, and controlled doping by so called ‘crack-welding” method. With combination of soft-lithography, we also have demonstrated the well-aligned nanorods and the nanorods were selectively doped pyrene at the cracks formed. |
