제목 Suppression of dedoping of dopants incorporated in conducting polymers by using dopant-phobic electrolyte
초록 Incorporation of functional dopants into CPs leads to widening the functionality of CPs by introducing additional functionality of dopants into conducting polymer films. CPs doped with redox-active molecules can be used as electrode materials for rechargeable batteries by using electro-activities of the dopants. The loss of dopants caused by electrochemical stimuli is most serious problems that should be solved in terms of functional stability of CPs doped with functional dopants. In this work, the effects of electrolyte on the loss of dopants were investigated. pPy[ABTS], polypyrrole doped with ABTS, was used as a model system. Two different kinds of electrolytes were used: one is a solvent to dissolve the dopant (dopant-philic) while the dopant is insoluble in the other (dopant-phobic). Suppression of dedoping in the dopant-phobic electrolyte was confirmed by using various electroanalytical techniques including electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance.
