제목 Magnetic dispersion and its novel application
초록 Magnetic particles have been utilized in a variety of applications such as magnetic recording media, printing inks, and drug delivery system. Recently much effort has been devoted to developing novel applications for the magnetic particles. Here we consider the feasibility of fabricating an optical film with microscopically anisotropic structure formed by the magnetic particles. As the first step, the present study is focused on how to obtain magnetic dispersion in which the magnetic particles are uniformly dispersed in a polymeric liquid. We investigate the dispersion state of magnetic suspension through morphological and rheological analysis. The effects of dispersants and processing conditions on the dispersion state are also examined.
