In this study, polypropylene spunbonded and needle punched nonwovens which have the lower cost than polyester nonwovens as the house wrapping nonwovens were used as the raw materials to manufacture the nonwoven composites. Nonwoven composites of these materials were made by use of the thermal bonding method and the special nonwoven composites composed of jute(or flax)/polypropylene staple fiber blends were obtained in consideration of the protection of environment pollutions in service. Finally, the tensile, delaminating and tear properties of these nonwoven composites were examined and water permittivity and resistance, air permeability, bursting strength, insulation efficiency were investigated in comparison with those of polyester spunbonded nonwovens as eco-friendly material. |
