Preparation of Polyamide12(PA12)/MWCNT Composite with Functionalized MWCNT |

PA12/MWCNT composite was prepared by in-situ anionic ring opening polymerization of lauryl lactam with functionalized MWCNT PA12(L-CNT) as an initiator and potassium laurolactamate as a catalyst. L-CNT was synthesized by reaction lauryl lactam onto MWCNT having carbonyl chloride. The CNT content of the composites was analysed by TGA technique. Comparing to those of the pristine PA12 or PA12/MWCNT simple blend the modulus and max. strength of PA12/MWCNT(1.17wt%) significantly increased, about more than 1.5 times. |
