Preparation and Property of PA 12/Surface Modified Graphene Composite |

Polyamide 12(PA 12)/graphene composite was prepared by in-situ ring opening polymerization of laurolactam(LL) with potassium laurolactamate and graphene carbonyl laurolactamate(G-LL) as a catalyst and an initiator respectively. G-LL was synthesized by reaction LL and graphene having carbonyl chloride group. The prepared PA 12/graphene composite performed the modulus and strength 2~3 times larger than those of commercial grade PA 12 as increase in grephene content. The electric conductivities of the composites were also enhanced up to 9~13 times comparing to pristine PA 12. |
