제목 | Effect of biofilm formation on cathode for electrosynthesis |
초록 | Electrochemically active bacteria is bio-catalyst for useful chemical and biofuel production on electrode in bioelectrochemical system. Primary product from microbial electrosynthesis with CO2 is acetate which is important intermediate chemical. Acetogenic biofilm formation on cathode is essential for CO2 reduction and acetate production. However, the exact mechanism of Biocathode is unknown. In this study, we investigate electrochemical effect of acetogenic biofilm formation on cathode. Total coulombic efficiency is about 82%. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis reveals that charge transfer resistance is significantly decreased from 1047 to 7.52 . And striking redox peak is shown only under CO2. The results suggest enriched biofilm on cathode take up CO2 as electron acceptor and lower charge transfer resistance to efficiently utilize electron. |
