제목 스마트 플랜트 비전 성취를 위한 공정 산업의 디지털 트윈 전략(The Digital Twins drives process industry to achieve smart plant vision)
초록 Digital twins are becoming a business imperative in many industries, it is accepted as one of key technology strategy to lead business transform.  Process modeling and simulation technology in the process industry has been widely applied for design, control and optimization of plant.  Digital twin can be built by combination of process model with IoT, Big data, Cloud and VR/AR technology. Digital twin is virtual world pairing with real world of plant or often people think it is a bridge of digital world and real world.  Through Digital twin we can simulate, predict, and optimize a business strategy, which leads to smart plant or manufacturing with greater speed and visibility.
Smart Plant has many definitions or no clear definition because it depends on people and target plant but one thing clear is that it has smart and intelligent components which help people work much smarter than before.  In this presentation, Digital twin technology is illustrated for achieving operation excellence throughout plant life cycle in the process industry as key part of smart plant.
