제목 | Gelatin based silver nanocomposite hydrogels for wound healing applications |
초록 | Thestabilization of silver nanoparticles within hydrogel has great importance inwound dressing purpose to avoid the cytotoxicity of AgNPs for acceleration of woundhealing. In this study, the AgNPs are formed within gelatin matrix via Schiff's base bond using lactose as crosslinker. The developed gelatin silver nanocompositewas characterized by FTIR, XRD, UV-vis spectroscopy, and SEM to confirm the formationand stabilization of hydrogel matrix. The gelatin nanocomposite showed good biocompatiblewith skin fibroblast cells. Furthermore, the hydrogel nanocomposite showedexcellent antibacterial activity towards E.coli and S.aureus bacteria. Thepreliminary results confirmed its potentiality in wound healing of infectedskins. |
