제목 Aqueous Graphene Solutions Stabilized by Water-Soluble Polymers
초록 It is well known that graphene has a variety of beneficial properties. Here, we present the formation of stable aqueous solutions of few-layer graphene flakes using a sonication-assisted physical approach. Two different kinds of water-soluble polymers were modified with aromatic side-chains that can provide chemical affinity to graphene. The ability of the modified polymers to exfoliate graphene from graphite was examined systematically using atomic force microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. Interestingly, the aqueous dispersion of the resulting graphene flakes revealed high colloidal stability for a long period (more than 1 month). It is believed that this work can be extended to make various graphene-based applications.
