제목 Preparation of highly fluorescent and biocompatible carbon dots from monosaccharide
초록 Recently, carbon dots (CDs) are spotlighted due to their fascinating properties including high solubility in water, chemical stability, low cytotoxicity, and excellent biocompatibility. In this study, both glucose and galactose as monosaccharides are utilized as the starting materials for the preparation of CDs due to the abundance and non-toxicity of monosaccharides. Both microwave and hydrothermal synthesis are utilized and compared each for the construction of highly fluorescent CDs. The resulting monosaccharide-based CDs can be utilized as either cell imaging agents or biosensors. 2016년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음.
