Effect of Homogeneous Al(OH)3 Covered MWCNT Addition on the Thermal Conductivity of Al2O3/Epoxy Terminated Poly(dimethylsiloxane) Composites |

Aluminum hydroxide coverage MWCNT (A-MWCNT) covered multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were synthesizedas a conducting additive in alumina-epoxy terminated poly(dimethylsiloxane). The measured diffusivity and calculatedconductivity showed un-similar behavior between several different Al2O3 concentrations as a function of A-MWCNT loading.The fabricated hetero structured A-MWCNT was not acted significant role as a thermal conductive material in the compositebecause of phonon scattering occurred at the interface. Small amount of A-MWCNT are feasible for establishment of a heatconductive percolating network which lead to the most enhanced thermal conductivity Continuously increased thermaltransport properties was observed with 49.1 vol % of Al2O3 loading because of lower interface density. |
