제목 Process design for indium recovery by using bipolar membrane electrodialysis system
초록 This study aims to evaluate the effect of indium absorbent(VSB-5) and enhanced BEDI (bipolar membrane electro-dialysis deionization) on indium ion desorption process for the recovery of metal ions. The factors that influence metal ion recovery are evaluated in reference to the pH, voltage, flow rates, and number of bipolar membrane sheets to present the optimal conditions. The research findings show that the lower pH is, the higher desorption rate. It is the most efficient when the voltage is 6.5V for each sheet of membrane. For the last, the desorption rate is higher when the flow rate of desorption cell is lower than the flow rate of concentration cell. The recovery time was reduced by approximately 180 minutes compared to when a chemical process was used for indium ion desorption.
