In high pH electrolyte (e.g. KOH) for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyst still an important challenge in water splitting. Herein, Co-BDC MOFs were directly growth on nickel foam for substrate and current collector by simple hydrothermal reaction with metal precursor, linker, and surfactants to control the morphology of Co-BDC MOFs. Co3S4 was synthesized on Co-BDC MOF through immersed in Na2S solution. The material characterization of Co3S4/CoMOFs and CoMOFs were measured by FE-SEM, XRD, FT-IR, and XPS to measure morphology, crystallinity, and composite of samples. HER properties at high pH electrolyte were measured LSV, EIS, Tafel plot, and CV for the ECSA through three-electrode systems. The best performance catalyst was Co3S4@Co-BDC MOF-p; it shows the lowest overpotential at -10 mA cm-2, the lowest Tafel slope, and high electrochemically active surface area, respectively. Moreover, its catalytic performance did not degradation dramatically after 24 h operated the HER. |
