Living Anionic Polymerization of Isocyanates with Oxy Anionic Initiators, Sodium Benzhydrol |
초록 |
Living anionic polymerization of n-hexyl isocyanate (HIC) using several initiators has been widely studied in our laboratory. It is difficult to polymerize HIC using oxy anionic initiators, because balance between initiation rate and propagation rate is not matched. Therefore, we designed a new initiator to solve the problems. Sodium benzhydrol (Na-BH) plays a role of initiating monomers, which prevents side reaction for living polymerization of HIC. The controlled molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution were obtained by the living anionic polymerization with Na-BH compared with those of other oxy anionic initiators such as sodium phenoxide (Na-PO), sodium2-methyl-1-butoxide (Na-MB) and sodium 2-methoxy-2-phenylethoxide (Na-MPE). In addition, blockcopolymers of HIC-b-TESPI using Na-BH were synthesized by living anionic polymerization and characterized by C13, H1-NMR and SEC-LS and so on. |
