제목 Synthesis of silver nanoparticles within SAN copolymer via in-situ electron chain transfer reaction
초록 We present a new synthetic for silver nanoparticles dispersed Styrene-Acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN). Acrylonitrile/styrene mixtures containing dissolved silver nitrate were directly converted to SAN copolymers containing silver nanoparticles. Radical formed in the mixtures carry out the electrons transfer reaction and radical copolymerization at the same time and place, resulting in simultaneous formation of silver nanoparticles and the copolymer. The degree of conversion for the polymerization was calculated by measuring pH variation of the polymeric solution. Formation of silver nanoparticles and their size and distribution were observed by UV-vis spectra analysis and TEM. To confirm whole mechanism for synthesis process, it was also observed by NMR analysis that the number of the double bonds between carbons increases with the increase of content of Ag+.
