Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is one of the most used plastics in our daily life due to its translucency properties and high physical stiffness and chemical stability. However, due to these properties, in the case of waste PET, there is a problem that natural decomposition is slow and environmental pollution occurs. Various studies are being conducted to chemical recycle waste PET, and among them, the reaction that generates Bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) through glycolysis is receiving the most attention, and various catalyst development studies are being conducted for this purpose. In this study, a reusable porous spinel catalyst was synthesized based on high stability and PET glycolysis was performed. |
