Calcium phosphate is highly stable, nontoxic, and biocompatible compound. It is abundant in the body as the principle mineral of bone and teeth. In this study, we prepared self-assembled nanoparticles mineralized with calcium phosphate. Physicochemical characteristics of such nanoparticles were investigated with regard to surface morphology, particle size, physical stability in a biological fluid. The results indicated that mineralized nanoparticles were highly stable in a biological solution and exhibited the promising potential as the drug delivery carrier. |
