Fabrication of polymer photovoltaic devices based on inkjet printed PEDOT:PSS |

We used inkjet printing method for PEDOT:PSS layer on the ITO to fabrication of polymer based photovoltaic devices. Poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester(PCBM) was used for active layer . In our study, additives which have higher boiling point than water, such as polyalcohols and surfactants, were added in different ratio to modification of PEDOT:PSS. Electrical conductivity and surface morphology of printed PEDOT:PSS thin films were characterized by four-point-probe measurement and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. The controlled solvent drying time and enhanced conductivity of modified PEDOT:PSS lead to obtain pin-hole free surface films and increase device efficiency upto 3.16% under 100mW/cm2 and AM1.5 conditions. |
