Formation of nanoparticles of metal in hydrogel network by electron beam irradiation |
초록 |
Metal ions, in hydrogel network have been reduced by electron beam irradiation to produce metal clusters as nanoparticles in fully reduced and highly pure state. XRD (X-ray diffraction) technique confirmed the zero valent state of metal. UV-visible absorption spectral characteristics of metal cluster confirm that hydrogel network is a very efficient stabilizer and prevent further aggregation of metal clusters. Transmission Electron Microscopic (TEM) studies show clearly split Debye-Scherrer rings what reveal the fcc geometry of the clusters. (lack of discussion in the text) It has been investigated that the high dose rate conditions of electron irradiation resulted in wide speared nanoparticles in the hydrogel network with almost no aggregation at higher dose. |
