제목 Inkjet printing of polymer electrodes on a flexible substrate in organic devices
초록 The advent of organic light-emitting diodes(OLED) opened a new era of organic semiconductors. The organic solar cells and organic field effect transistors(FETs) are the most exciting research field in organic semiconductors. The advantage of the organic device is the easy and simple processing method, low cost, high impact resistance, high flexibility for bending. Thin films of the organic substances or polymers can be made by using the thermal evaporation depostion, spin coating of solutions, ink-jet printing of organics or polymers, and simple dipping. Among these method the solution process is good for the low-cost and large area processing. Especially the inkjet printing is a good method to reduce the useless waste in the device fabrication.
The objective of this study is to use the ink-jet printing in device fabrication. The electrodes were ink-jeted using the conductive polymers. Further all-inkjet printing in organic device fabrication was tried to acheive the goal. Source, drain and gate electrodes were printed with an aqueous dispersion of conducting polymer, polyethylenedioxythiophene/polystyrolsulfonate(PEDOT/ PSS). The semiconductor and the gate dielectric were spin-coated from solutions of conjugated polymer, poly(9,9'-dioctylfluorene-co-bithiophene(F8T2) or poly(3-hexyl thiophene), and insulator polymer, polyvinylphenol(PVP), respectively. Figure 1 shows the molecular structures of the organic materials used in this study.
