Physicochemical Property and Dissolution Behavior of the Cilostazol by Mixture Methods & Ratio of HPMC and PVP |

We manufacture a polymer blend, using hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) by solid dispersion method to improve characteristics of polymers. Compatibility is expected to achieve when polymer blended that HPMC and PVP were spray dried. Various ratios of two ingredients were blended because release rate of poorly soluble drugs improve and control. Blended with various ratio of HPMC and PVP was analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) to confirm surface morphology and combination of drug and polymer. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were carried out to confirm thermodynamic properties and chemical structure change respectively. We expected that the changed drug release of cilostazol by adjusting the HPMC and PVP blend ratio in gastric juice (pH 1.2). |
