Carbon black(CB) has been most widely used as catalyst support in PEMFC. CB possesses high electrical conductivity, but can be electrochemically oxidized during the operation in PEMFC, which lead to sintering or detaching of Pt nanoparticle from the support materials and degrades fuel cell performance. Therefore, CB is functionalized with polyethyleneimine(PEI) and loaded with Pt nanoparticles to solve these problem. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the addition of PEI on electrocatalytic activity and the cell polarization in PEMFC. |
