Cationic surfactants have been widely used as fabric softener, anti-static agent, additives of the main ingredients of germicidal agents, corrosion inhibitors and detergent. We will report on ester-type cationic(ester-quats) surfactants which have excellent bio degradability. Three kinds of N1,N1-bis-(2-(n-alkoxycarbonyl)ethyl)-N3,N3-dimethyl-1,3-propylene are prepared as the intermediate by condensation reaction between alkyl acrylate and N,N-dimethylaminopropylamine. The intermediates are quaternized with dimethyl sulfate. The composite materials are characterized with H1-NNR, FT-IR, HR/Ms. The yield of products are about 80-90% according to alkyl length of alkyl acrylate. |
