The current trends of the automotive plastic parts are summarized by high quality, light weight and eco-friendly parts. In terms of high quality, the importance of scratch resistance has been consistently increased. The scratch resistance of polypropylene composite shows different characteristics depending on the types of antiscratch additives. Polysiloxane antiscratch agent has significantly good results for the scratch resistance of the polypropylene compound. But, there is a staining problem on the surface of the parts when the content of the polysiloxane is increased. Therefore, non-polysiloxane type is preferred for antiscratch agents of the polypropylene compound. In this study, we investigated the scratch behavior among the various antiscratch agents, including polysiloxane and non-polysiloxane types. In addition, the synergistic effect between antiscratch and slip agents was also analyzed for this scratch behavior research. |
