제목 Thermally stable Cu-Al based catalysts for methanol steam reforming
초록 Cu-based catalysts are the most promising ones for methanol steam reforming because of its low cost and high catalytic performance. However, the catalytic activity of Cu catalysts gradually declines with time on stream due to the thermal sintering of Cu particles. Many processing methods have been applied to control Cu sintering, such as the addition of second component, the use of an appropriate support, and the improvement of Cu dispersion. In the present work, we propose the simple auto combustion method to prepare methanol steam reforming catalysts showing robust performance in high temperature (>300°C). The catalytic performance of the prepared catalysts has been tested in a fixed-bed reactor. Based on the experimental results, the influence of the processing conditions on the catalytic properties of Cu-Al based catalysts has been studied and optimized. Compared with commercial catalysts, the prepared catalysts have exhibited enhanced catalytic activity and stability.
