제목 Enhanced Thermal Conductivity and Mechanical Properties of High Temperature Treated Thin Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes/Polyurethane Nanocomposites
초록 Carbon-based nanocomposites have attracted great interest in the field of polymer nanocomposites research due to obtaining high-performance materials. In this study, high temperature treated thin multi-walled carbon nanotubes (HTT t-MWNTs) were carried out at 2300 ͒C for 30min using graphite-resistance furnace operating in a high purity argon gas atmosphere. Raman spectroscopy and Photoluminescence (PL) were studied to understand structural and spectroscopic characteristics of the thin multi-walled carbon nanotubes (t-MWNTs) and HTT t-MWNTs. Polyurethane (PU) nanocomposite films incorporated pristine- and HTT- t-MWNTs prepared by solvent film casting, and investigated mechanical properties, thermal conductivity and morphology. We confirmed that the HTT t-MWNTs increased its crystallinity compared than pristine t-MWNTs. As a result, HTT t-MWNTs/ PU nanocomposites film showed enhanced mechanical properties and thermal conductivity.
