Multifunctional chitosan-based pH-sensitive prodrug for targeted drug delivery system |

In this study, we were prepared pH-sensitive prodrug based on multifunctional chitosan (MTCh). The pH-sensitive prodrug was synthesized to conjugation with MTCh and anticancer drug by hyddrazone bond. The characterization of product was investigated by 1H-NMR, HPLC and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The drug release behavior was confirmed by various pH condition. The cytotoxicity and antitumor activity were demonstrated by MTT assay. The in vitro localization of cancer cell was confirmed by confocal laser microscopy.
