Effect of Cream made from the mixture of Natural Materials on a model of Atopic Dermatitis |

AMCH, an antimicrobial moisturizing cream consisting of chitosan and herbal honey, was made using a formula which is based on the optimum mixture ratio of herbal honey and water-soluble chitosan. To evaluate the effect of AMCH on treatment of atopic dermatitis, the AMCH cream was applied to 15 week old NC/Nga mice on which atopic dermatitis had been induced by smearing DNCB solution. For contrast drug, Pimecrolimus cream(1%) manufactured by NOVARTIS was used. To explore the possibility of using AMCH cream as an atopy_curing cosmetics and medicine, the effects of Pimecrolimus cream (1%) on suppression of atopy eruptions were experimentally defined. This study was supported by IPET(Korea Institute of planning & Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries) Research Fund in 2009. |
