제목 Experimental analysis of critical membrane and electrode characteristics related to actuation performance of ionic polymer-metal composite
초록 As the electroactive polymer actuator, IPMC (ionic polymer-metal composite) is one of the most promising smart materials because of its rapid and large bending behaviors, low consumed power and high energy efficiency, etc. Its chemical-electrical-mechanical response is surely dependent on both membrane properties (equivalent weight, ionic conductivity, water state) and electrode properties(metal content, morphology, surface resistivity). The purpose of this study is to systematically compare membrane and electrode characteristics and critically confirm optimal conditions of these. IPMC was prepared by impregnation/reduction and characterized by impedance, SEM, EDS, FT-Raman, laser displacement meter, etc.
