제목 Muti-layered ionic polymer-metal composite actuators prepared by heat-compression technique & their application to arificial muscles
초록 Ionic Polymer Metal Composites (IPMCs) are a kind of ionic electro-active polymer. Although their great potential for application to artificial muscles, they definitely have a low generating force. In this study, we prepared the staked Nafion-IPMC by ‘heat-compression method’, and achieved high bending stiffness and generating stress with due strain by controlling thickness and dimension. And then, each of the prepared Nafion-IPMCs with the optimal size was multilayered as high-force elements for additive increasing in stress. Due to sufficient actuation performance, that will be leading to wide applicability of electro-active polymer in electrochemical and biomimetic active device.
