Bulk hetero junction (BHJ) polymer solar cell (PSCs) is one of the most promising field as alternative energy source. In PSC devices with BHJ structure, the active layer is consisting of two materials: electron donor(usually polymer) and electron acceptor. Especially, development new donor is one of the main issues to get core technology. Previously in our group, we studied about 2,7-carbazole and 3,6-carbazole properties. 3,6-carbazole had higher hole mobility than 2,7-carbazole. So in our group, we add 5% of 3,6-carbazole in poly[9′,9′-dioctyl-2,7-fluorene-alt-5,5-(4′,7′-di-2-thienyl-2′,1′,3′-benzothiadiazole)] (P(2,7F-DTBT) during the polymerization. A novel concept of D−A-type copolymers based on fluorine polymer incorporated with 3,6-carbazole unit enhances the device performance. So in this study we applied incorporating 3,6-carbazole concept to PCDTBT and also we introduced alkoxy DTBT instead of DTBT to increase molecular weight, solubility and film formability. |
