Effect of chemical-processesd with activated carbons for recovery of lithium from seawater |

In this work, surface characteristics of chemically processed activated carbons(ACs) investigated for lithium ion in aqueous solution. ACs have effect of chemical processes in the structural and properties for lithium recovery process from aqueous solution. The lithium ion is treatments with different concentrations H3PO4-ACs and KOH-ACs solutions. Then, The structure and morphology of samples were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms were analyzed for pore structure by the Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET) equation. The results indicate that it could be concluded that lithium ion recovery behaviors are greatly influenced by chemical processed introduced functional groups into the activated carbon surfaces. |
