제목 Electro-response activities of silica materials withvarious geometry and their constructive and destructive reinforcement property   
초록 Electrorheological (ER) fluids are receiving wide attention owing to the various positive natures like fast response, low power consumption, and reversibility. However, most of the research regarding on the ER fluids are focused on the performance of single material, but not on bimodal composition. Therefore, we have investigated the mixed geometrical effect of bimodal ER fluids in this study. To investigate the bimodal effect, 4 different size of silica spheres (40, 90, 140, and 340 nm) and 3 silica rods with different aspect ratio (L/D : 2, 3, and 5) are synthesized and mixed.Consequently, bimodal ER fluids consisted of silica spheres with 40 nm and silica rod with L/D 5 exhibited the highest ER performance owing to the constructive reinforcement of fibril-like structure formation. On the other hand, bimodal fluid composed with larger size and low aspect ratio showed destructive property.
