We fabricated 3D bicontinuous gyroid nanostructure with high-molecular weight PS-b-PMMA block copolymer (BCP) by means of solvent vapor annealing. To make long-range ordering of gyroid structure through BCP self-assembly, solvent vapor annealing was introduced. To control the surface morphology of BCP thin film, surface modification was conducted by grafting random copolymer P(S-r-MMA) brush chains onto the silicon oxide substrate. On the selective substrate, long-range ordering of (211) gyroid was made. On the other hand, on the modificated neutral substrate, (111) gyroid was made. By controlling the swelling and deswelling of solvent evaporation, nearly cubic gyroid structures of block copolymer film were firmly fabricated. The surface morphology was observed by means of scanning force microscopy (SFM) and the inner structure was verified by grazing incidence small angle x-ray scattering (GISAXS). These results provide pathways to high technology innovation in optical fields. |
