Among the promising family of polythiophenes, the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) have showed remarkable high stability, high electrical conductivity and a low optical band gap of approximately 1.6 eV, making this material to be a candidate for many industrial applications. As antistatic material, PEDOT is already being used industrially in a large scale. In this work, PEDOT thin film was fabricated through vaporphase oxidative polymerization by using ferric-p-toluenesulfonate and ferric(III) chloride-p-toluene sulfonic acid mixture as an oxidizing agent on PET substrate. The surface roughness and morphology of PEDOT film has also been characterized by various analytical techniques such as AFM, SEM and optical microscope. |
