제목 | Enhancement of long-term stability of CO2 membrane contactor |
초록 | A membrane contactor is one of the promising technologies for CO2 removal. Because it has high interfacial areas between gas and liquid phase, which can provide high gas removal efficiency. However, for polymeric membranes, membrane wetting by CO2 absorbent drastically reduces CO2 removal efficiency. In this study, to enhance stability of CO2 removal performance, the surface modification of polypropylene (PP) with fluoro silane was performed. Trichloro (1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-perfluorooctyl) silane was used to increase the hydrophobicity of PP and CO2 removal efficiency. Chemical composition and morphology of modified PP membrane were characterized. Surface modified PP and various CO2 absorbents were used to investigate CO2 removal efficiency and long-term stability of CO2 membrane contactor. |
