The electronic materials including noble metals have hard, dry and electrical properties. These metallic natures are not compatible to biological tissues which are soft, wet and ionic. To improve these mismatches, the hybrid composites of PEDOT:PSS and graphene oxides were constructed on a gold microelectrode by electrochemical deposition. Their electrochemical performances from voltammetry test, biphasic electrical stimulation, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and durability were estimated. In addition, biocompatibility was also tested through cell test. The electrochemical performance and the biocompatibility of the composites depending on the oxidation degrees of GOs which are incorporated in the composites were compared. The PEDOT:PSS/GOs composites showed significantly better performance than that of PEDOT:PSS. |
